Hondo Pinzon is a flame working glass artist, using a torch and borosilicate glass. He is known for his signature “Pineapple Pattern” fibonacci type design and pineapple shapes in functional glass pieces. He specializes in a technique using pure silver that he vaporizes in the flame, binding to the surface of the glass. The silver creates the iridescent colors that you can see on his glasses and vases.
Originally from New Mexico, he now calls Vashon Island his home. He creates his work from his home studio and spends his free time playing outside with his family.
